In recent years, we have witnessed a global shift in the popularity of drones, both in recreational and professional use. What was once considered a costly and niche industry to participate in, has now become a part of everyday life for many individuals and organisations - not least of all for the conservation and environmental sectors. Along with the increased popularity and capabilities of drones, there is an equally increasing need to regulate and ensure compliance within this space.
Here at DroneWild, we are proud to partner with Professional Drone Training Ltd., a Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) accredited trainer and assessor. PDT provides tailor-made courses for our clients, where the focus is structured between training in compliance and legislation, as well as the practical skills required for safely conducting drone operations. All successful candidates will leave the course with both an A2 C of C and GVC qualification.
Upon completion of this course, all candidates will have the opportunity to undergo additional field training, with the support of DroneWild’s in-house team of experienced drone operators.
This training will focus on refining the skill sets required for flying in forestry and woodland environments, locating and identifying wildlife through the drone’s thermal and optical image sensors, and developing a deeper understanding of how to use our custom software platform.
But we recognise that training is a continuous process, especially in an industry which is changing and growing as rapidly as ours. That is why all our clients have access to our digital training pack - an online training manual containing learning resources, visual how-to guides, operator instructions and more.
